We hope you had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas with family and friends! You are probably reading this blog post during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Have you started to formulate your annual New Year’s resolutions? More importantly, will your recent celebration of Christmas help to shape your goals and resolutions for 2022?
Allow me to elaborate on that last question. In our fast-paced culture, we plan, prepare, and count-down, to Christmas Day. Then, we celebrate, “check the box,” and move on, plowing headfirst into another year. At the most basic level, shouldn’t the previous season of “Peace on Earth and Goodwill to all Mankind” have a measurable impact on how we approach the new year? At a much deeper level, if we recognize the Christmas celebration as God “putting flesh” on his perfect plan of redemption, and what that means to us, it must impact how we plan for, and approach, the new year.
Our tagline at Master’s, Managing Wealth for a Life of Purpose, is a good reminder to keep purpose and “the bigger plan” at the forefront of all our goals for 2022. While we often use this phrase to guide our financial planning discussions, doesn’t it also serve a greater purpose? Where and how, can we have the most impact this year? What activities will truly bless others and “make a difference” in their lives in 2022?
We love the process of creating successful financial plans that meet your goals and objectives. But we also want each of you to be pursuing those things in life that are most important to you. Things that will have lasting impact and bring deeper purpose and meaning to your lives. Only then will we deem our planning to be completely successful!
From all of us on the team at Master’s: We wish you peace and joy, and a new year filled with opportunities to accomplish the goals that will have a lasting impact, motivated by your unique purpose!
