Q2 Blog Series: Master’s Wealth Management, Our Own Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) Firm – Improved Technology

June 4, 2024 by Lyle E. Hershey

In today’s competitive business world, it’s imperative that your technology applications are tailored specifically to your unique business needs. This week’s blog post continues the theme of why Master’s decided to transition to our own Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm.

One major advantage of achieving full independence is the freedom to select all our technology partners. During our transition, we assessed all our technology partnerships and made decisions on which to retain and which to modify. Ultimately, we decided to keep most of the technology we had been using previously. Below is a list of some of the technology applications we are continuing to use:

  • Salesforce – Our Client Relationship Management (CRM) software helps us manage and track all our client interactions and services.
  • eMoney – Our Financial Planning software provides client financial projections, enabling us to help our clients make informed financial decisions.
  • Holistiplan – Our tax projection software assists us in creating tax projections and helps our clients make appropriate tax-related decisions.
  • Zoom – Continues to be our online meeting platform.

The primary technological change we made was in our investment management and reporting software. Our new technology partner for these services is Advyzon. Previously, we used two separate applications for investment management and performance reporting. With Advyzon, we can handle both functions in one application. Advyzon also allows us to manage different portfolios with the same registration within a single account. This capability enables us to reduce multiple accounts of the same registration, simplifying the administrative process for things like changing beneficiaries and settling estates.

Ensuring that we have the ideal package of technology partners is an ongoing exercise. Now that we are completely independent, we have the freedom and flexibility to make appropriate changes whenever we deem it beneficial for us and our clients. Our commitment to providing our clients with the best possible service and experience is unwavering.
