On Friday, March 20th, we packed up some of our technology and a few essentials to take home. We locked the doors and closed the office to comply with the “Stay-at-Home” orders caused by the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. Little did we know that we would be working remotely from our homes for almost three months.
A few weeks ago, we moved back into the office, each Master’s team member “setting up shop” in their respective work areas. It is good to be back together again!
We learned a few things about ourselves during the extended stay-at-home period. I thought it would be interesting to share some of them with you.
- We genuinely missed each other and seeing many of you. That’s a good thing!
- We developed some good habits, new routines, and a renewed focus on key relationships. We spent less time on frivolous activities and focused on things that were/are truly important.
- We had the opportunity to test our systems and processes to continue serving you without access to the office. Our industry expects us to have an Emergency Continuation of Business Plan. Well, we have one and it worked quite well. (Special thanks to our Master’s Technology Team!)
- We used this opportunity to “think outside the box.” Why not offer some of our virtual services going forward? We are happy to announce that for many of your future meetings, Emily will be giving you the choice of an in-office meeting, video conference, or phone meeting. We still enjoy seeing your smiling faces, but also understand that virtual meetings may just be more practical and efficient at times.
Thank you again for the confidence and trust you continue to place in our team here at Master’s. You are so important to us. We appreciate the friendships & relationships we have with you more than ever.
Now, we would love to hear from you! What have you learned about yourself, and/or what new routines of life have you implemented during the Pandemic?
