One week ago today, we had our annual Master’s Planning Day. As Jon wrote about in last week’s blog, this is a day set aside to focus on building deeper relationships with our team, hear input from everyone, and brainstorm about how we can serve you even better. I love that we begin that day with all of our team members around the table. We enjoy being together; it’s so great to be part of such an awesome team!
As the day progresses, we gradually narrow down from the whole team to just the owners/partners, and our leadership coach and good friend, Jerry Murray, who facilitates our planning days. Near the end of this time block, we spend some meaningful time speaking very personally to each other, as business partners and friends. This is a rich time where we affirm, encourage, and challenge each other.
Herein lies the focus of this bog. Lyle, Garry, and I have experienced the power of a partnership that is working very well. What a blessing! We recognize that together we can accomplish so much more than any of us could individually. More importantly, we see the divine orchestration of each of our unique and God-given gifts and abilities that complement each other so well. Master’s is stronger, our team is most aligned, and you are better served when we recognize and maximize what each partner brings to Master’s. We are committed to doing that well.
I personally consider it a once-in-a-lifetime special privilege to be in this owner/partner group. At the same time, I recognize that we have a tremendous responsibility. We need wisdom and discernment to make the best decisions, and to lead our team well. The goal is that you, our clients and friends, will be best served as we build and monitor each of your personal financial plans. Please continue to pray for us as we lead this company. We covet your intercession on our behalf.
Once again, thank you for the trust and confidence you’ve placed in us. It means more to us than you’ll ever know.
